I chose this one because first, I got the movement in it. And I have dark and light lines. I also have some details on the face and the shoes.

Egg shells

This is the no line egg drawing. I used the sharp and soft edges instead of lines to show the roundness of the egg shells. In the left shell, I used sharp edges on the top break part of the egg and soft edges on the left side where the shape of the shell next to the grey background. On the right shell, I used sharp edges on the left of the shell, and the crack on the top, to show the distance between the front shell and the back shell. I used the background to show that the egg shells are sitting on a cardboard, give it a more 3D look.

Skeleton

Boxes and chair

I used charcoal pencil to draw the subject exactly. By measure the ratio between lines and the angle, can give us a accurate drawing of the subject.

bones

I like this drawing, because first, the shading is really realistic, it shows the roundness of the bone. It have a good foreshortening, we can see the feets is closer to us. The back ground is real neat and have different values. The only thing missing in this piece is the organizing lines. So we can't see how it was measured.

Negative space HW

I used pencil to sketch the shape and the details, and then go back with marker and paint. I saw how Nicholas Hucheson made his art work. The negative space with texture in it. So I come out the idea of using paint and big brush to go over and over and make a texture.

Model line 2

I used charcoal pencil, charcoal stick, and paper towels in this drawing. I used both model line and mass gesture techniques in this drawing. And I used I also used model line to describe the leaf veins .

Model line 1

I used charcoal pencil and paper towels in this drawing. I used model lines to describe the object, I used light and dark lines also darker values in the front. I' am trying to combine the model line and mass gesture together.

Mass gesture 2

I used charcoal stick and paper towels to make this one. I used lines to give the close part more details and simply shad the far place, give it a 3D looking.

Henrik Drescher

He is a great artist. In his work, we can see some sketchy lines, and he tell us that a art work don't necessary need to be neat,  realistic,or pretty. It can have a crapy look and all different colors and just make something from your imagination.

Visual hierarchy

There are two shapes on the paper, it's a girl standing on the mountain top. I like this piece because the one who paint it use a great amount of color, rather than just black and white. I also like the way the girl's dress is blowing by the wind, there are some move in the picture. And the edge of the objects are nice and neat.

Pipe 5

I only used charcoal pencil in this drawing. Rather than use the tone to discribe the subject, I used model line to show the subject, it can also shows the look of a subject.

Pipe 4

I used charcoal stick and paper towel in this drawing. I added the back ground to make a contrast with the subject, so the subject can stand out more.

Pipe 3

I used charcoal stick and paper towel. I only add tone to some part of the drawing, because when I looked at the subject, those place got my eyes first. So I want someone who see it to focus on the point that I see.

pipe 2

I used different tools in this drawing. I used charcoal stick to put down the first layer, and then come back with water and a little brash. I was planed to use a big brash instead of a small one, but later I found out that little brash can do more details, and I pretty like the way it come out. This one is special because water gives the pipe a new soft look and different kind of feeling.

Pipe 1

I used charcoal pencil, paper towel, and hard eraser to make this drawing. First I built a box. Then I draw ellipses that can fit in the box, smashed the out line of the box and get the simple line of the pipe. After this, I added shadows to the pipe. This one is special because I used hard eraser to make a hard high light on the pipe, and I left the inside of the pipe with some rough textures.
